APC WORLD – MOTORHOMES RETRACING THE STEPS OF THE PHOENICIANS IN SICILY

Jointly with PleinAir magazine, Sicily Camping Tour, FIAB and Agriturist, our association has designed an equiped route for tourism in freedom, from Siracusa to Mozia (near Trapani), that will be launched in spring 2017. This Camper Tour is a route on the Rotta dei Fenici (or Phoenicians’ Route), a Council of Europe Cultural Itinerary spanning 3 continents and 18 countries and which, in Italy, connects up to the Cammino di Annibale and the Rete degli Etruschi.
The Phoenicians’ Route is an example of how history can bring together different territories, helping both to promote them, and to develop low-impact tourism flows in areas lacking of tourist infrastructure.
This initiative, enriched by the marvels left behind by such an outstanding civilization, was presented at the 2016 Salone del Camper.
