MONITORING UNIT ON TOURISM IN FREEDOM IN ITALIAN REGIONS

Sardinia, Marche and Veneto confirm their role as Regions with the highest ability to attract Tourism in Freedom. The percentage of tourists accommodated in campsites and motorhome areas, compared to the regional demand, is the highest on a national basis. The peak of demand of Tourism in Freedom can be found instead in Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto (with an indicator higher than 71 out of 100). In almost 50% of Italian Regions the quality of equipped stopping areas is quite high (indicator higher than 90 out of 100). Based on all the indicators taken into account by the Monitoring Unit, the best performances are reported in Marche Region – a territory which has invested most on the potential of such kind of tourism.
