MELVI 2017: APC ATTENDING THE LEADING EUROPEAN EVENT OF THE SECTOR

The Italian sector of Tourism in Freedom is facing an upward trend, and this was confirmed by APC delegates at 23rd MELVI (Meeting of the European Leisure Vehicle Industry), international meeting for all European producers of recreational vehicles, organised by ECF – European Caravan Federation, and held last 18th – 20th May at Deauville Royal Barrière Hotel, in the Lower French Normandy.
APC participation to the leading international event of en plein air tourism simply confirms that our sector is constantly growing: we are talking of a field with 5,500 employees, with an annual turnover exceeding 750 Million Euro, whose production outreached 15,000 units in 2016, and is constantly ranking in the first positions of main European producers. Market figures are rising, too: +14% new vehicles registered in 2016 and +9,2% in the second-hand market, if compared to the previous year. Such a trend is also reinforced by the over half a million tourists in freedom visiting Italy in the spring long weekends of Easter and May 1st.
