NEWS EDITORIAL JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2017

Hello everyone,

It is my pleasure to introduce you to our first 2017 issue of APC News. To usher in the New Year, we’ll talk about some of the main events that lie ahead, and also take a look back at the key ideas and initiatives that have affected our Association and the Tourism in freedom sector in the last months.
We start off, in our headline item, by inviting you all to get note on your diaries about the dates for the 2017 Salone del Camper, which will be held at the Fiere di Parma from 9th to 17th September 2017.

APC’s 2017 Calls for Tender are the focus of our news item two, reminding you both of the deadlines for presenting applications and projects, as well as of this year’s new category, for municipalities hit by last year’s terrible earthquakes.

Built up on APC Calls for Tender’s continuing success, in our third news item we invite you to provide support for APC’s motorhome stopping areas project, Progetto Aree di sosta. How? Simply browse to our new website, and download a set of guidelines for designing a motorhome stopping area.

In the APC World section, we will talk about Camper Tour, a route retracing the steps of the Phoenicians in Sicily, which is scheduled to be ready for spring 2017, a project to which our Association has contributed.

In the “Talking of …” we are pleased to report on the Fiat Ducato’s tenth consecutive victory in Promobil magazine’s prestigious Motorhome Chassis of the Year award.

Finally, the Stopping area of the month section presents the recently-inaugurated tourist accomodation in Cerchiara di Calabria, in Cosenza province.
