TALKING OF … – THE OPEN-AIR JUBILEE

The Open-Air Jubilee, promoted by PleinAir magazine and one of the official events of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, took place on 22 October. It was attended by more than 5,000 tourism in freedom aficionados from all over Italy. As a concrete sign, a motor home equipped to help those most in need was donated to the Holy Father and to his diocese. The vehicle, an M 725 GLT with a folding alcove, was made available by the Arca manufacturer of the Trigano group with Ducato 150 MJT mechanics donated by Fiat Professional. The vehicle runs a Camper 660 LMT-D satellite navigation system offered by Garmin. This was a gesture of great generosity from the tourism in freedom sector to society’s most disadvantaged classes.
Of course APC was there too: “Recreational tourists are a great resource for the area” says APC General Secretary Francesca Tonini, – and tourism in freedom is one of the most sustainable ways of practising tourism given its ability to protect and promote places and communities. Our residential vehicle also comes in handy for the mobility of persons with disabilities and their families.”
